DRIC 2007 to DRIC 2008:  No Real Change!

As you can see, there is no real change from the DRIC Parkway presented in summer of 2007 and the revised version presented in spring of 2008.  The following table represents a comparison of tunnelling lengths in the original DRIC Parkway, in DRIC’s 2008 revision, and in the City of Windsor’s GreenLink proposal:

No matter where you live in this city, you've been impacted by the increasing truck traffic on our streets. We deserve cleaner air, green space and a better way of life. For years, Windsor has been considered the end of the road, the end of the 401. It's time we changed that perception. The City has a solution that will transform Windsor into the gateway to Ontario and Canada.

The government's plan (DRIC) offers no real solutions. DRIC wants to build a highway that will cut this city in half and do little to improve our quality of life. Our solution will connect our communities, protect our neighbourhoods and get the trucks off our streets.
